Evelyn A. (Lyn) Coesfeld, nee Fortman, 101, a long-time resident of Wheaton and Pasadena, California passed away Saturday, October 8, 2011 at her apartment at the Devonshire of Lisle. Evelyn was born on a dairy farm in Wheaton and was one of 14 children of the late Maximillian and Julia (nee Gartner) Fortman. She lived in Wheaton with her husband Ray for many years and soon after his death moved to Pasadena, California where she lived for almost 25 years. Evelyn returned to Illinois in 2005 and lived independently in an apartment at the Devonshire until her death. She was always surrounded by family and friends and lived an active and full life. Her warm and caring personality, optimism, stamina, and love of life will be missed. She was the beloved wife of the late Raymond Coesfeld. Survivors: Beloved mother of Mary Huneke, and Carol (Robert) Restivo; dear grandmother of three; sweet great grandmother of five; dear, youngest sister Marian Damer and cherished aunt of many nieces and nephews.
