Danielle “Dani” Baker, 38, of Lisle, passed away June 1, 2016. Beloved wife of 11 years to Julius, Jr.; Adored mother of Aliyah and Delaney ; Cherished daughter of Bruce and Sharon Petersen; Daughter-in-law of Julius, Sr. and Mamie Baker; Sister of Alexa (Nick) Potocki, Ellie Petersen and DJ Petersen; Granddaughter of Mildred Schleif; Sister-in-law of David Baker and Greg (Ebony) Baker; Niece of Kathy (Bruce) Allen, Connie Schleif and Rae Lynn Schleif; Aunt of James and Matthew Baker, Jameson Potocki and Zoey Petersen.

Dani was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Harvey O. and Addie Petersen, and maternal grandfather, Raymond Schleif.

Dani was one of the kindest, sweetest, most compassionate people. She loved her family and friends fiercely and unconditionally. She advocated and fought for the ethical treatment of animals with a passion that is rare to find. She was an amazing mother, wife, sister, daughter and friend.

A visitation will be held at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 5015 Lincoln Avenue (on Rt. 53, 1/2 mile south of Ogden Ave. / Rt. 34), Lisle, on Monday, June 6th, from 4-9 PM. A funeral service will be held at DuPage AME Church, 4300 Yackley Avenue, Lisle, on Tuesday, June 7th, at 11 AM. Interment private.
