Carol G. Zimmerman

Carol G. Zimmerman, nee Piraino, age 79, of Woodridge, passed away on Tuesday, January 3, 2023. Beloved wife of William. Loving mother of Pam (Ryan) Dawald and the late Lisa Zimmerman. Cherished grandmother of Parker, Chase, and Leighton Dawald. Dear sister of Anna (Ron) Plachy, the late Michael Piraino, Sam Piraino, Josephine Figura, Mary Gloviak, Joseph Piraino, George Piraino, Dominick Piraino, and Rosalie Wyrostek. Many loving nieces and nephews. Carol was a longtime and dedicated parishioner of St. Scholastica Catholic Church in Woodridge, an active member of the Bereaved Parents Organization, and worked over 20 years at Downers Grove South High School as a Guidance Counselor Assistant. She will be missed dearly by all who knew her.

A visitation for Carol will be held Thursday, January 12, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 5015 Lincoln Ave, Lisle. Family and friends will meet Friday, January 13, at 10:00 AM at St. Scholastica Catholic Church, 7800 Janes Ave., Woodridge for the Mass of Christian Burial. Interment to follow at Clarendon Hills Cemetery, Darien.
