LISBON: Patrick “Rusty” J. Beck, 67, of Lisbon, passed away Monday night at his home in Lisbon. He was born on November 22, 1946 in Amsterdam, NY a son of the late Charles and Muriel (Bedard) Beck. He spent a short time as a child in New York before moving to Maine. He attended schools in Maine and was a graduate of Fryeburg Academy, class of 1964. After high school, Rusty took some college courses and worked as a chef for several years. In the mid 1970’s, he went to work at Bath Iron Works in the Tin Shop Dept. 17 for over 35 years until his retirement in 2010. Rusty was a member of the Masonic Order as well as a volunteer fire fighter for the Lisbon Fire Dept. He served the town of Lisbon as a Selectman and even ran for State Representative. He will always be remembered for his joy of harness racing and all New England sports. He also loved spending quality time with his family and enjoyed cooking very much. He is survived by his five children; Rudy Langelier and his wife Cindy of Leeds, Larry Langelier of Sumner, Chuck Hessel of Mt. Vernon, OH, Stephanie Hessel and Jay Beck of Lisbon. He will also be deeply missed by his grandchildren Cassidy and Randi-Anne Langelier, L.J. and Lacey Langelier and Amy Arsenault as well as his 3 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Meredith Beck, a daughter Tania Russell and a brother Brian Beck. BECK---Patrick “Rusty” J., 67, of Lisbon, died April 7, 2014. Visiting Hours will be held on Thursday April 10 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at the funeral home. A Celebration of his life will take place on Friday April 11 at 10am at the Lisbon United Methodist Church in Lisbon Falls. Interment will be at Hillside Cemetery.
