Thomas Freel, age 70, of Elizabeth, New Jersey passed away at home on Wednesday January 29, 2020 with his loving family by his side. Thomas was born May 9, 1949 in Elizabeth NJ. He lived in Elizabeth for many years before relocating to Manahawkin NJ with his son, Chris. All who knew Thomas knew him for his fun personality. He was an avid fan of darts and was well known in the community since he owned and operated Bottoms Up Tavern in Elizabeth NJ. Thomas owned Bottoms Up Tavern for 25+ years prior to retiring.
Being a US Army Veteran during the Vietnam War era, Thomas was a proud patriot.
Thomas is survived by; son Chris Freel (Jesse Freel); and son Thomas Freel; nephew Jimmy Freel and grandchild Shannon Freel.
Thomas was preceded in death by parents Patrick and Evelyn Freel and sister Patricia Freel.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Visitation on Saturday, February 1, 1:00 PM -5:00 PM. from Krowicki McCracken Funeral Home, 2124 East Saint George Ave, Linden, NJ. A private cremation will follow as requested by the family.
