Phyllis Patti

Phyllis Patti, 52, of Elizabeth, passed away peacefully on May 28th. Phyllis was born and raised in the Peterstown section of Elizabeth and has lived in Elizabeth for over 52 years. Phyllis was a secretary for Elizabeth Public Schools for 24 years. Phyllis was a loving, caring, and strong woman. She loved to entertain, always treated strangers like they were her own, and put everyone first before herself.

Phyllis was predeceased by her father, Joseph Merlo Sr. and brother, Joseph Merlo Jr.. She is survived by her mother, Leonarda Caravano Merlo, her husband Carmelo Patti, her son, Salvatore Patti, his wife Sandra, grandsons Giovanni and Giancarlo, and daughter Paola Patti, boyfriend Kevin, and her dog Rocky. Her siblings Carmella Merlo, Michael Merlo, wife Lois, Anthony Merlo, Philip Merlo, wife Donna, and Catherine Merlo. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

A visitation for Phyllis will be held Thursday, June 2, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Krowicki McCracken Funeral Home, 2124 East Saint George Ave, Linden, NJ 07036. A funeral mass will occur Friday, June 3, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St Genevieve's Church, 200 Monmouth Rd, Elizabeth, NJ 07208. A committal service is to follow at Saint Gertrude's Cemetery, 53 Inman Ave, Colonia, NJ 07067.
