Natividad Vega

She was born to Alejandrina Perez and Ernesto Rivera in Las Marias, Puerto Rico on September 9, 1931. Later in life, she went on to marry Angel Luis Vega. Together, they had (3) three children Roberto, Ludovina and Ferdinand. She had spent most her life as a housewife and homemaker.

Natividad was a wonderful woman that was loved, is missed, and will always be cherished. Our “Nana” as she liked to be called by her grandchildren and “Monse” as she was called by her children, was an amazing, beautiful person.

The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Natividad. She loved spending time with her family. Her children were the light of her life and her relationship with her grandchildren was cherished. She loved her brandy at family gatherings, play a good strategic game of Dominos with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, watch a great western movie with her children, do cross word puzzles while relaxing and a good Novella to read. She was an excellent cook who brought warmth and comfort to those that were lucky enough to experience it. She made the best tostones, arroz con habichuela rosadas and chuletas anyone could ask for. Her flan that she made for dessert had the right texture and sweetness that is hard to achieve. She was soft spoken but told great stories of the past and gave great advice to those that needed it.

Loved ones that cleared the path for Natividad are her parents, siblings and husband. Natividad is survived by her loving children, son Roberto and daughter-in-law Roxie, daughter Ludovina and son-in-law Carl and youngest son Ferdinand. Grandchildren Chantel, Katrina, Michael, Danny, Angel, Elvis, Mathew and (7) seven great-grandchildren.

We think about you always, we talk about you still, you have never been forgotten, and never will. We hold you close within our hearts and there you will remain, to walk and guide us through our lives, until we meet again.

A visitation for Natividad will be held Saturday, January 14, 2023 from 9:00 AM until time of funeral service at 10:30 am, at Krowicki McCracken Funeral Home, 2124 East Saint George Ave, Linden, NJ 07036. Interment Rosedale Cemetery, Linden, NJ 07036.
