Jose Luis Quinones, age 87, of Roselle Park, New Jersey passed away on Wednesday September 4, 2019 at Overlook Hospital in Summit. He was known by many as Cacho. Cacho was born August 9, 1932 in Montevideo, Uruguay. In 1977, he moved to the United States with his family to New Jersey and started working at the Ports of Elizabeth, Newark as a car color maker and painter for the car import industry for 25 years. Because of his high skillset and talent, he made a career at the Distribution Auto Services at Nissan for more than 20 years until his retirement.
His love and dedication to his family and friends was his true passion. Cacho was an excellent cook, a classic tango listener, a huge fan of Gardel's music, soccer, tennis and a true wine connoisseur.
Cacho is survived by his wife Nilda Sarro, their daughter Silvia and husband Guillermo Yito, his beloved granddaughter Jennifer and Shirley and their husbands Joseph and Anthony, his beautiful great grandchildren Lucas and Alessandra, and his brother and sister in Uruguay.
Cacho is predeceased by his 2 sisters and 1 brother.
A visitation for Cacho will be held Friday, September 6, 2019 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Krowicki McCracken Funeral Home, 2124 East Saint George Ave, Linden, NJ 07036. A funeral will be on Saturday, September 7, 2019 with a visitation from 9:00AM until the 10:00AM service. Interment will follow at the Rosedale Cemetery, 350 E Linden Ave, Linden, NJ 07036, Linden, NJ 07036.
