I have many memories of u cuz , but the best ones I have of  you are when ever I needed  to talk to someone I would just hit u up no matter what time it was. We would talk for hours, or even just minutes  to make sure that everything is okay. And even in the middle of our work shift when we would play (coin mater)  lol. But we know your at peace now, and nothing is hurting you. So until we me again watch over us, and give grandma a hug,  and kiss, and tell the family we said what’s up. Oh! Yeah and don’t get in trouble to much with Tio Ruben lol. We love you   Cuz until we see each other again. 

From the day we met, we had a bond like no other. You always protected me like a brother protected his sister. You checked up on me. You would call just to make me laugh. Your smile radiated a room and your laugh filled the world happiness. You are everything the world needs more of. Love, life, laughter, kindness, and selflessness. You imitated every bit of those qualities so naturally and it will be impossible to fill your shoes even by a step. I love you brother. Growing up with Joey he was always the sweetest and funniest person I’ve ever met . Wish I could be there to pay my respects . I send my condolences to the family and pray God gives everyone the strength  they need in this hard time . Joey will be missed he truly was one of a kind his smile would brighten up anyones day!! I know he’s rejoicing in heaven rest in paradise say hi to my dad .. With lots of love xoxoxo 

Whenever I would see you around the family , I always heard you laugh. Your contagious laugh will be missed and I know you’re in heaven and will continue to shine light and love onto your nieces. I will forever remember your energy and your smile from across the way while my friends and I came out of school ( Battin), where I became best friends with your sis. To my dear sweet cousin Joey,
I am grateful to God to have had you as my cousin.  Throughout your life you have brought our family lots of love, laughs, and beautiful memories that we will all cherish forever.  
I was 9 when you were born and I remember how excited I was to help Titi Linda take care of you.  Sure you tested that excitement when you threw up all over me while your mom burped you, but even after that I could not stop being so in love with just your smile.
I have so many great memories of you Joey, and I thank you for that.  Thank you for always trying to cheer someone up, make them laugh, and make sure they were ok.  Your heart was so big for anyone and everyone and I am sure God has you sharing your heart in even bigger ways now.  
I love you and will miss you with all my heart.

My heart is so filled with sadness.  As a mother and a friend, I can't believe that a life so young and full of life is gone.  I can now hold on cherished memories of a wonderful young man full of life.

Joey was like a brother to my son, one of my many “children”. He was always by my son’s side, getting into the craziest antics. I remember picking them up at Menlo Mall by the arcades, dropping them off at Judy’s, and even scooping them up from “white church”. He was a true and loyal friend, one of just a handful of childhood friends who remained in touch with my son through-out these 16 yrs and each would give the shirt off their backs to each other. Joey’s heart was as big as his smile and I will always miss his presence in this world. I wish healing to Jocelyn, her children, and the rest of his family. You are all in my prayers.
