Joan A Rodriguez

Joan A. Rodriguez (nee Bondura) sadly passed from this world at the age of 84 on April 2, 2025.

Born to Andrew and Mary Bondura, she grew up in the Ironbound section of Newark. She was the beloved wife of the late Frank N. Rodriguez for 52 years; dearly loved mother of Robin Rodriguez (Charles McAnulla) of Havertown, PA; and Frank D. Rodriguez (Eileen) of Morristown; loving sister of Robert Bondura (Aurora) of Middletown; dear sister-in-law of Joseph N. Rodriguez (Magalis T.) of Linden; adored grandmother of Michael, Megan & Caitlin; and dearest family friend of Mary Jane Steiginga of Garwood, who was like a sister to her. Additionally, she was a cherished aunt, cousin, godmother and good friend to so many.

Joan graduated from East Side High School in 1958. Her career spanned many years and included roles as a legal secretary, real estate agent and product supervisor. She retired in 1995 as a supervisor at the Walt Disney Film Company. She paused her professional career to raise her children and was a devoted stay-at-home mom.

After marrying Frank, they settled in Roselle where they lived together for 49 years. Over the years, they spent many joyful summers at their vacation home in the Poconos.

Joan loved to laugh and enjoyed the company of her family, dear friends and neighbors. And she especially loved her “FLING” ladies’ group of over 40 years. Joan will be missed dearly by all those who knew her.

Visitation for Joan will be held Monday, April 7, 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at KROWICKI MCCRACKEN FUNERAL HOME, 2124 East Saint Georges Ave, Linden, NJ 07036. A funeral mass will occur Tuesday, April 8, 2025 from 10:00 AM at Saint Joseph the Carpenter Church, 140 E 3rd Ave, Roselle, NJ 07203. Interment to follow at Fairview Cemetery, Westfield.
