Jadwiga Langowski

She was born in Pomorze, Poland on February 11, 1923. During her early life, she lived through and survived World War II before immigrating to the United States with her young family in 1961. Since then she had resided in Elizabeth, NJ. Jadwiga was the cherished daughter of the late Mieczysław and Stanisława Zasadzki; devoted wife of 59 years to the late Jan Langowski; beloved mother of Donna Brzozowski and husband, Tadeusz, Stan Langowski and wife, Janina, the late Tadeusz Langowski, and the mother-in-law of Lois Bonanno. She was the treasured grandmother of Elizabeth Lombardi (Michael), Mark Brzozowski (Nancy), Agnes Doucette (Shawn), Michael Brzozowski (Kamila), Jennifer Pirnik (Jeremy), Kimberly Koc (Jacek), Jonathan Langowski (Sarah), Thomas Langowski, Caroline Meade (Robert), Michelle Warwick (Alex); treasured great-grandmother of Luke, Logan, Colin, Olivia, Victoria, Matthew, Justin, Tyler, Brayden, Sabina, Tyler, Adrianna, Lucia, Savannah, and Grace, all of whom she dearly loved. She was predeceased by 5 siblings.

Jadwiga worked at Simmons as a seamstress for about 30 years. She was a long-time parishioner of St. Hedwig’s RC Church in Elizabeth, NJ, a devoted patron of Our Lady of Czestochowa shrine in Doylestown, PA, and a member of the Polish Women's Alliance. In her younger years, she enjoyed spending hours in her garden, and even in her older age she was an avid reader, especially books about St. John Paul II, and anyone who visited knew to bring a Polish newspaper so she could keep up with current events in Poland and around the world.

Her presence at holidays and gatherings always made her family feel complete, and her fine Polish cooking and baking will truly be missed. The memory and legacy of our “Babcia” will always be cherished with loving hearts.

A visitation for Jadwiga will be held on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 from 5:00PM-9:00PM at Krowicki McCracken Funeral Home, 2124 East St. George Avenue Linden, NJ 07036. A funeral mass will be held 10:00AM, St. Hedwig's RC Church, on Thursday, June 3, 2021, 9:00AM from the funeral home. Interment will follow at National Shrine Our Lady Of Czestochowa, 654 Ferry Road Doylestown, PA, 18901.
