Elizabeth M Papetti

Elizabeth Papetti of Elizabeth, NJ passed away peacefully at home on Monday, July 22, 2024.

Elizabeth M. Papetti, was a lifelong resident of Elizabeth. She was a graduate from Battin High School, Class of 1948. Elizabeth married the love of her life John F. Papetti, October 8, 1950 after meeting him on the job at the slipper counter at Green’s 5 & 10 on Broad Street in Elizabeth. Together, they were the perfect pair and enjoyed a loving marriage for 66 years.

Elizabeth adored her family and had such pride sharing stories of their accomplishments. She enjoyed watching her grandchildren grow and felt blessed to be part of her great grandchildren’s lives as well. She lived her life devoted to family and will be remembered as a kind, loving and generous person to all that knew her. She is survived by devoted children Amelia Kardos (Joseph III), Diane Prisco (Salvatore) and John Papetti Jr. (Maryann); cherished grandchildren, Anthony Prisco (Tara), John Prisco (Sandra), Lisa Kardos-Jusino (Fernando), Donna Yesalavich (Frank), Joseph Kardos IV (Kaitlyn) and John F. Papetti III; treasured great-grandchildren, Isabella, Alexander, Arya, Cora and Saara Prisco, Frank IV, Melissa and Nina Yesalavich, Gabriel and Juliet Jusino; Oliver and Vienna Kardos.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Elizabeth’s memory to: St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital or your favorite charity of choice.

Visitation for Elizabeth will be held Thursday, July 25, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at KROWICKI MCCRACKEN FUNERAL HOME, 2124 East Saint George Ave, Linden, NJ 07036.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend a funeral on Friday, July 26, 2024, 9:00 am from the

funeral home. Funeral Mass Blessed Sacrament RC Church, Elizabeth 10:00 am. Entombment to follow at St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia.
