Elizabeth Mercado

Elizabeth passed away on October 21st, 2023 at the age of 80. She was a resident of Elizabeth, NJ. She was born on April 17th, 1943 in Isabella, Puerto Rico, to the late Juan Pablo Echevarria and Antonia Valentin.

Elizabeth was predeceased by her husband, Jose and lived her life in devotion to her children Jose Jr., Madeline, and Michelle. Her Grandchildren: Melanie, Meghan, Mariellis, Marissa, Leticia, Emilio, Savanna, and George. A proud Great-Grandmother of Aria and Lucas and being one of 18 children, she is loved by ALL her brothers and sisters.

She was a wonderful Mother who was always there for us. She enjoyed being a homemaker and loved to cook. She was a well-known Catholic and was part of the Damas (Lady of Perpetual Help). She enjoyed many things as: playing Dominos, watching her Spanish Soap Opera (novelas), telling her funny jokes and most of all spending quality time with family and friends.

She will be missed and forever in our hearts.

A visitation for Elizabeth will be held Wednesday, October 25, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Krowicki McCracken Funeral Home, 2124 East Saint George Ave, Linden, NJ 07036. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, October 26, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Blessed Sacrament Church, 1096 North Ave, Elizabeth, NJ 07201. A funeral will be held on Thursday, October 26, 2023 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at Rosedale Cemetery, E Linden Ave, Linden, NJ 07036.
