Edwin Valentin Ortiz

Edwin Valentin Ortiz, age 64, of Linden, New Jersey passed away on Wednesday, January 26, 2022. Edwin was born March 25, 1957 to Jesus and Ana Ortiz in New York, NY. He was known to be a prankster and loved making people laugh with a smile on his face. He was the designated handyman in the family as well as for individuals in the neighborhood whenever something broke and was an amazingly hard worker in all he did.

Edwin is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Yamile Ortiz, children Jessica, Edwin Jr., Yemil, and Yonel, grandchildren Jezel, Hailey, and EJ, brothers Edward, Jesus, and Ariel, sisters Lucy, Annie, Chiqui, and Rosie, and many nieces and nephews.

A visitation for Edwin will be held Tuesday, February 1, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Krowicki McCracken Funeral Home, 2124 East Saint George Ave, Linden, NJ 07036. Friends and family are invited to gather at the funeral home on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at 9:00 AM. A funeral mass will take place from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Mary the Assumption Church, 155 Washington Ave, Elizabeth, NJ 07202. A private cremation will follow.

All invited guests are asked to join the Ortiz family for the repast following the funeral, which will be held at CubaNU, located at 1467 Main Street, Rahway NJ 07095 from 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM.
