Benigno Rodriguez

In Cuba he worked as a technician for Nestle Corporation and managed his father’s cattle farm. Benigno was an original member of the Elizabeth Cuban Club established in 1982. he was employed by the Elizabeth Board of Education for 25 years, prior to that he owned "Benny’s Lunch truck" servicing the New York and New Jersey ports,where he mastered his cooking skills.

Benigno was an avid sports fan, soccer and baseball he watched his teams and cheered for his Amazing Mets. He enjoyed the great outdoors, huntsman, gardner and nature lover. He was a talented dog trainer and breeder of German Short Haired Pointers.

Benigno is now reunited with his late wife Caridad Rodriguez Cubenas who passed in 2016. He is the loving father to Ben Rodriguez ,who resides in New York City and Mercedes Rodriguez, who resides in Union, New Jersey.

A private viewing for immediate family will take place at the funeral home. A funeral mass for Benigno will be held Friday, May 19, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Mary's of the Assumption R.C Church, 155 Washington Ave., Elizabeth, NJ 07202. Following the funeral mass will be a funeral at Rosedale Cemetery, E Linden Ave, Linden, NJ 07036.
