Arnold Philippe was born on June 15, 1949 to the parents of the late Mendes and Zira Philippe. He had multiple siblings from both his father and mother’s side. Casually known by many as “Anola,” he migrated to America in the 80s where he eventually settled in Elizabeth, New Jersey and was able to bring his family over from Haiti for a better life.
Arnold was a very hardworking and dedicated person. To all he was known to be a well-respected man with great dignity, intelligence, love and humor that could not be matched. Arnold was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. He had an amazing heart and his belief could never be waivered no matter what life threw at him.
On March 28, 2023, Arnold was called home to be with the Lord. He will be greatly missed by all who had the honor of knowing him.
Arnold is survived by his wife Micanette Philippe, four children Migele Philippe, Micette Philippe-Dieujuste, Haslyn Philippe and Ridzia Philippe, grandchildren Angela Dieujuste, Tyler Dieujuste, Adreanna Dieujuste, Christie Anna Saint Louis, David Marcus Exume, Michael Tyler Exume, and Sarah Michelle Exume.
On behalf of the entire family, we would like to thank everyone for your condolences and wishes and to extend gratitude to those who took the time to help us celebrate Arnold’s life.
A service will be held Saturday, April 22, 2023 at 9:00 AM at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary and St. Michael's Catholic Church 52 Smith St, Elizabeth, NJ 07201. A repass will take place shortly after the service at 12:00 PM at Flaming Grill Buffet 1701 W Edgar Rd B, Linden, NJ 07036
