Born May 22, 1938 in New York City, New York to William Robert Sr. and Viola S. (Pease) Loder.
Bill grew up and attended school in Pennsylvania. His senior year he played football and was the punter for East Stroudsburg High School. He joined the Air Force in 1956, completed Photo Tech School and basic training at Lowry AFB, then was assigned to Lincoln AFB in Nebraska.
In 1958, he married Janet M. Haase and they were blessed with three children and 63 years of marriage. In 1965, he graduated from UNL with a degree in Business Administration, became employed at Firestone Tire Co. in Decatur, IL. Then returned to Nebraska and attended UNO and received a Masters Degree in Public Administration.
In his lifetime was employed as a Photo Lab Tech, Methods and Standards Engineer, Personnel, Management and Systems analyst, Director of Training Division and retired in 2003 from the Nebraska Department of Roads.
He also was a Toast Master, Cub Scouts Leader, Little League Coach, Scout Committee Member, Indian Princess Dad, Trinity Luthern Church Elder, Stephen Ministries and Board of Education for Trinity School. Bill was also a diehard Husker football fan.
Preceded in death by father and mother, sister Cora Rachielle and niece Melanie Somers. Survived by wife Janet, sons Scott Loder (Van Gardiner) and Chris Loder , daughter Shelayne and son-in-law Lance Baldwin, triplet grandsons Benjamin, Garrett and Noah Clapper; Trey and Kendel Baldwin; granddaughters Maisie and Maddie Loder and Jaidyn Boline; nephews Frank Decker and Kevin Somers and many loved relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 21, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, 6800 South 14th Street, Lincoln, Nebraska 68512.
Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, July 22, 2021 at 11:00 am at Trinity Lutheran Church, 724 South 12th Street, Lincoln, NE; Burial will be at Lincoln Memorial Park and Cemetery following the service. lincolnfh.com
