She was born in Lawrence, Kansas on February 10, 1933 to parents Thomas and Rita Bell Cummins. On March 5, 1952 she married Robert Mason Dula, of Lawrence, Kansas.
Raised in Lawrence, Kansas, Virginia graduated from Lawrence High School and graduated from Secretarial School in Colorado Springs, where she worked for the Chamber of Commerce. Virginia and Bob were longtime residents of Lincoln, Nebraska where they were involved in many organizations and clubs, and generously helped to support, and make an impact on the city of Lincoln, and the state of Nebraska. Virginia and Bob were married for over 60 years.
Virginia and her husband, Bob, were deeply dedicated and committed to each other on their life journey. She was Bob’s business partner. Virginia was active in her spiritual life, as she and her husband Bob were devoted members of Lincoln Southview Christian Church, since 1958. Her life was committed to and revolved around the church, where she dedicated vast amounts of her time, and was an active Church Deacon and an Elder. On her spiritual journey, she also taught bible study and religious group courses. At Southview, she was responsible for floral arrangements and loved floral arranging all of her life.

She loved being a mother to her children and a dedicated wife to her husband. Virginia was a kind, loving and generous person all her life with the biggest of heart, and she was never without a smile. She appreciated the tiniest and most simple things
in life, a new bud in spring, lady bugs, hummingbirds and sharing her excitement each year
to show her kids new flowers poking their heads through the winter snow.
Virginia is survived by daughter Linda Dula of Georgetown TX, Son Michael Dula and daughter in-law Gloria Dula of Austin TX, and sister Peggy Burnett of Lawrence KS.
