Thomas "Tom" L. Gaston

Thomas L. "Tom" Gaston, age 69 of Waverly, died Tuesday, June 3, 2014. Born in Fairbury to Judson and June (Gillaspie) Gaston. Retired from Goodyear, member of the United Steel and Rubber Workers Union Local 286. Served in the Army National Guard, member of the Ohiowa American Legion Post #193. He enjoyed woodworking and furniture refinishing. He enjoyed golf, hunting and the Huskers. Survived by his wife Glenda; children Michelle (Michael) Mohr, Jeffrey (Jennifer) Gaston, Aaron (Sheryl) Gaston; grandchildren Thomas, Joey, Jaylin,Parker, Kylie and Kinsley; great grandchildren Kaylnn and AlexZavier; father Judson; brother Lyle (Dianne) Gaston; sisters Shirley (Lowell) Buchli and Judy (Gary) Wright; nieces, nephews and Glenda’s family.. He was preceded in death by his mother June and his father-in-law Glenn Meyer. Memorial service 10:30am, Monday, June 9, 2014 at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church, 8550 Pioneers Blvd. Lincoln, NE. Family will receive friend from 4-6pm Sunday at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home 6800 S. 14th St. Lincoln, NE. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Mayo Clinic for brain cancer research.
