While he had to navigate life with a disability, he enjoyed his family, friends and activities. He was educated through LARC School and the Lincoln Public Schools. He enjoyed his time spent with Lincoln Parks and Recreation, The Arc trips to places like Branson and Hawaii, the Region 5 Plaza, Nebraska Special Olympics, Honey Sunday and Boy Scouts.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents Harry and Clara (Hughes) Edson and Allan and Maxine (Moore) Longacre and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Survived by his parents, sister Cindy (Cliff) Switzer, brother Mark (Kathy) Longacre, aunts Cheryl Estes and Florene LaRue and uncles Allan Longacre and Gary (Betty) LaRue, cousins Jodi Estes, Kim Longacre, Kate (Don) Harvey and many close nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Friday, February 24 at 2 PM at Eastridge Presbyterian Church, 1135 Eastridge Drive, Lincoln, Nebraska 68510 with a reception to follow.
