Sharon Kay Loos, age 77, of Lincoln, Nebraska went to be with the Lord on December 26, 2024. She was surrounded by her family. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Sharon will always be remembered for her love and compassion for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Born December 31, 1946 in Holland, Michigan, Sharon grew up with three sisters and one brother in Lincoln, Nebraska. She was especially close with her oldest sister, Barbara. As a young girl, Sharon loved playing all sports, her favorite being basketball. At the age of 15, Sharon met her future husband, Jack, while working as a carhop at the original Runza Drive In.
On May 9, 1964, Sharon married the love of her life, Jack Loos. They were blessed to have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in May 2024.
Sharon achieved her heart's desire of becoming a mother with the birth of their son, Scott, in 1966. A few years later, daughter Jennifer completed their family. Sharon was a full-time homemaker and volunteered at her children's school and at church teaching Sunday School.
Sharon's greatest joys in life were her marriage, raising her children, and spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed reading, building doll houses, playing "Barbies" with her granddaughters, taking their oldest grandson on trips, and making many special memories with her family. Sharon especially loved the holidays and hosting meals in their home. Her family particularly loved her homemade chili on Christmas Eve. Sharon and Jack enjoyed trips to the Black Hills, Las Vegas, Texas, Colorado, and the Amana Colonies in Iowa.
Sharon is survived by her husband, Jack Loos; son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Melissa Loos; daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Roger Sailors; grandchildren, Tyler (Amanda) Loos, Becca (Lucas) Grossman, Kaitlin (Matt) Nelson, Courtney (Estevan) Garcia, Brayden Seelhoff; and 13 great-grandchildren.
