Robert Lee Long

Robert L. Long, 95, of Lincoln, passed away on Monday, August 15, 2016. He was born in Gibbon, NE to Ernest and Francis ( McAuliff) Long. US Navy Veteran served in the South Pacific. Member of the VFW, American Legion, Shrine Cotner Lodge. Retired from the Lincoln Telephone Company. Survivors: Son: Gary (Madeline Geigle) Long, Daughter: Carol McKernan. 9 Grandchildren and 19 Great-Grandchildren. Sisters: Wiladene Hudson and Betty Reins. Many Nieces and Nephews. Preceded in death by: Wife, Dorothy, Infant Son: Steven, parents, Son- in-law: Jerome McKernan. 3 Sisters and 1 Brother. Visitation: Thursday, August 18, 2016 from 5-8 pm at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, 6800 S. 14th Street, Lincoln, NE. Funeral Service: Friday, August 19, 2016, 3:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment: immediately following at Lincoln Memorial Park. Memorials: Make-a-Wish Foundation, or Shriner's Children's Hospital.
