Richard Lee Boyd

Dick was a Divisional Claim Superintendent at State Farm Insurance for 38 years. Upon retirement he became active in the Sierra Club, OLLI, Trail Trek, The Lincoln Track Club and many other organizations. He also volunteered as a UNL track official. Dick competed in marathons, long distance biking, looked forward each year to his Canadian fishing trip. And most of all, he loved his family.

He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Paula; daughters Brooke (Bill) McVicker, Overland Park, KS; Stacey (Mark) Nelson, Omaha; KyLee (Brian) Vonderharr, Mpls, MN; and stepdaughter Marissa (Ryan) Brown, Seattle, WA. He was a very proud Papa to grandchildren Ellie, Anna and Max McVicker; Grant and Molly Nelson; Aubrey, Boyd and Elyse Vonderharr; Emerson and Hadley Brown; and great-grandson Easton McVicker. He was preceded in death by son Brad Boyd, sister Kay Munn, brother Don Boyd and his parents.
