Patricia "Pat" Arlene Krause

Patricia "Pat" Arlene Krause, 87, of Lincoln, was born March 17, 1935 in Chicago, Illinois to Eleanor Daniels. After her ten year journey with Alzheimer’s Pat passed away peacefully on May 22, 2022, surrounded by her loving family.

After being raised as an only child and losing her mother at the age of 16, Pat moved to Denver, Colorado to live with her aunt. There she met Allen F. Krause and they were joined in marriage September 6, 1953. Upon Allen graduating from Michigan State University, the couple moved to Big Rapids, Michigan in 1957 and then to Lincoln, Nebraska in 1961 where they raised their six children.

Her career included owner and founder of Sutter Place True Value Hardware Store and office administration with Cathedral of the Risen Christ School and The Lincoln Racquet Club.

Pat loved life and approached each day with vigor and joy. Her many interests included photography, painting, gardening, and all outdoor activities. Her greatest passion however, was her family. Along with her 6 children, Pat was blessed with 27 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. Her life was filled with creating joy for all of them.

Pat is survived by her sons, Chad (Susie), Scott (Beth) all of Lincoln, Rick (Christine) of Phoenix, AZ, and Michael (Jennifer) of Leawood, KS; daughters, Stephanie Taffy Leonard of Castle Rock, CO, Karen (Jeff) Bechtolt of Elkhorn, NE, and Ginnelle (Tim) Ries of Leawood, KS; 27 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by, former husband, Allen F. Krause; daughter-in-law, Kathi Krause and grandson, Alex Krause.

A visitation will be Thursday, May 26, 2022 from 7-7:30 pm followed by a rosary at 7:30 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 3 pm Friday, May 27, 2022 all located at Cathedral of the Risen Christ 3500 Sheridan Blvd., Lincoln. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to The Alzheimer’s Association or Cathedral of Risen Christ School.
