Ole was born April 10, 1924 on the farm near Albion, Nebraska, Boone County to Albert and Oline (Aase) Nore. He graduated from Newman Grove high School in 1941. He attended various insurance classes at Kansas State University, Kansas University, and Purdue University. Ole farmed until 1953 then was an insurance agent and general agent for Lutheran Brotherhood later Thrivent Insurance, for 26 years. After retiring he drove city bus for Lincoln Transit, StarTran, worked at Campbells Nursery, and was grounds keeper for Sheridan Lutheran Church.
On March 15, 1946, Ole was united in marriage to Marian F. Fusselman. They celebrated 75 years of marriage. They enjoyed traveling and spending time with their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was a member of Sheridan Lutheran Church for over 60 years having served on various committees. He committed endless hours to volunteering to Bridges to Hope, Habitat for Humanity and many other community organizations. He also was an honorary Admiral of the Great Navy of the State of Nebraska.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Oline; siblings; Signi Holt, Thelma Maurer, Gilbert Nore, Alice Lee, Luther Nore and Henry Nore.
Survivors are his wife, Marian; daughters Sharon McLean of Lincoln, Barbara (Dave) Graen of Champlin, Mn, and son David (Robin) Nore of Hickman NE. Grandchildren Mattthew Graen, Erik Nore, Laura Rapacz, Michael McLean, Benjamin Nore, Stefanie Reddy, Jill Nore and 10 great grandchildren, along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
Funeral Service will be held at Sheridan Lutheran Church Saturday, October 30th at 11:00 a.m. Visitation begins 1 hour prior to service. 6955 Old Cheney Rd, Lincoln, NE. Interment at 1:45pm at Lincoln Memorial Cemetery. 6700 S. 14th St, Lincoln, NE. Please meet at Gate 2, 15 minutes prior to process together back to the gravesite.
