I tried going onto the Funeral Homes webpage, but I couldn’t ever get the “share a memory” tab to open up. So now I’m just going to drop a line to you Todd and you can share it with Paul.

Darrel and I got married July of 1984. I remember him telling me “ I can’t wait until you meet my dear friends, Paul & Norma Jean!” He then proceeded to pick up the phone and called your Mom. I actually hear her laugh before I heard her speak. Both of your folks had infectious laughs, but your Mom’s was wonderful!
We came to Nebraska a few weeks later, and I finally got to meet your parents. They welcomed me with hugs and a friendship began immediately.
I loved our trips to Lincoln and the joy it brought to both “Darrel Darling” and me. The guys would watch football while your Mom and I went shopping. Our first store we stopped at we were laughing and having a great time when your Mom suddenly said “ I wet my pants”! Well that got me to laughing and soon she was no longer alone in her predicament! We hung our heads and scooted out of the store! I was so embarrassed! Norma kept telling me, it’s okay and we are going to become great friends!
I learned so many things from your Mom. She shared some of Darrel’s favorite recipes with me. She was s fabulous cook and great making desserts.
Life moved on and after Darrel passed away, I rarely went to Lincoln. Your Mom and I would visit once or twice a year. I will miss those genuine phone calls.
You guys had the best Mom. Here love for you was indescribable. Spend your time together sharing stories and memories. 
I so wish I could come out for the funeral, but I just can’t. I’d love to give you each a hug and tell you….”this is a time it’s okay to shed a tear”.
I will miss Norma!
