Nancy Kay Lillie

Nancy K. Lillie, 73 of Beatrice and formerly of Diller passed away September 18, 2014. Nancy Kay Lillie was born October 21, 1940 to Wilhelm and Gracie (Lottman) Baumfalk at Odell, NE. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Diller. She was a 1958 graduate of Diller High School. On July 13, 1958 Nancy was united in marriage to Robert Lillie; to this union, four children were born. Throughout her life she was employed at Johnson’s Café, Metz Baking Company and Peterson Manufacturing. She loved to garden and feed the birds and squirrels; collect angels and wind chimes; was an avid Nebraska football fan; enjoyed traveling with Bob Geer and spending time with family and friends on her patio. Above all family was most important. She went out of her way to spend time with family. She was a woman of great faith who will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Nancy is survived by daughters, Tamara (Tammy) Lillie of Weatherford, TX and Vicki (Joel) Wooton of Wymore, NE; son, Kim Lillie of Lincoln; grandchildren, Ashley (Robert) Waid; Lindsey Wooton; Whitney Wooton; Autumn Ware; Lance Ware and Matthew Ware; great-grandchildren, Jason Dirke; Savanna Dirke; Elijah Dirke; and Nevaeh Harris-Ware; sisters, Bethelee (Melvin) Beran; Elaine Erdmann and Judy (Bill) Holliger; as well as special friend, Bob Geer; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; infant daughter, Kimberly and a brother in law, Jack Erdmann. Celebration of Life Service will be Tuesday September 23, 2014 at 2:00 pm at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Diller, NE. Inurnment will take place at a later date. No public viewing or visitation. Memorials may be directed to the Lillie family.
