Nadine grew up on a farm near Orleans, Nebraska, with her parents, Glen and Pearl Bantam, and her nine brothers and sisters. Her time on the family farm taught her patience, perseverance, dignity, respect, and faith in God.
As a young farm girl, after graduating high school, Nadine could have been expected to stay in her simple rural home area, but her keen intellect and sense of adventure drew her to the big city of Lincoln to study business, where she met Frank Condello, the love of her life. Two people more perfect for each other have never existed. On August 4, 1962, Nadine and Frank entered into their 61-year holy marital union as husband and wife. Starting a family was not too far behind, as Frank and Nadine had two sons, Bruce and Jason. Frank and Nadine's dedication and unmatched work ethic helped Bruce and Jason fund their academic careers, with Bruce becoming a dentist, and Jason becoming CTO of a successful company.
Nadine's work career began with eight years at Notifier Company, followed by a marvelously successful 23-year tenure as Executive Vice-President of the Home Builders Association of Lincoln. Nadine was the recipient of numerous prestigious awards and accolades, including LIBA's Business Resource Award, LIBA's Free Enterprise Award, and also the National Home Builders Association Outstanding Executive Officer of the Year. Nadine was also granted Nebraska's highest civic honor, appointment by the Governor to Admiralship in the Great Navy of the State of Nebraska.
Nadine never bragged about the accolades, instead preferring to deflect the credit to all of the amazing people around her at HBAL. Nadine was so very proud of having had the privilege of leading such a talented and skilled group of businesspeople through all those years of trials, successes and growth. The relationships forged during her time at HBAL remain the ultimate legacy of her 23-year tenure.
What perhaps set Nadine apart the most was her ability to lead those around her through a quiet humility. If the addendum to one's life is the impact we have on others, then Nadine will live on forever in the fond memories of her friends, work associates and loving family.
Nadine was preceded in death by her parents Glen and Pearl Bantam; brother Roger (Janice); sister Edith Hopson (Clark). She is survived by husband Frank Condello; sister Phyllis Bosley, (Howard - deceased); brother Ernie (Vicky); sister Lela Fidler (Craig); brother Tony (Rita); brother Doug (Julie); brother Eddy (Jo); sister Merry Jessup (Rick).
