Mike Borgialli

Mike Dean Borgialli was born December 9, 1965, to Orval Borgialli and Carol (Burg) Borgialli in Lincoln, Nebraska. He left this world on March 1, 2024 at the age of 58 to be with his Lord and Savior in heaven. He was a beloved son, brother, uncle and devoted friend. If love could have saved him, he would still be here.

He graduated from Lincoln East High School with the class of 1984 with high distinction. After graduating, he attended the University of Nebraska Lincoln and received a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Finance in 1989. He was a member of Delta Tau Delta Fraternity.

He held many different jobs over the years. His true passions were to travel the world and spend time with those he loved. He invested into relationships fully and whole-heartedly. He enjoyed fishing, Husker athletics, board games, and soaking up the sun. He will be remembered by his kind smile and gentleness.

He is survived by his mother, Carol, his sister Susan (Gregory) Thomsen of Lincoln, Nebraska and their daughters Katherine (Derek) Schmidt of Omaha, Hannah (John) Bierbaum of Griswold, Iowa, and Morgan Thomsen of Lincoln; his brother Merlen (Connie) Borgialli and their son Nickolas of Marquette, Michigan; his girlfriend Diana Chilson of Lincoln; his grandnieces Hensley and Hayden Bierbaum and Ariana Schmidt. He was preceded in death by his father, Orval Borgialli.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at New Covenant Community Church, 6000 S. 84th Street with Dr. Tim Johnson officiating. A private burial will take place at a later date at Lincoln Memorial Park, 6700 S. 14th Street.
