Mary C Zink age 94 of Lincoln returned to her eternal home Wednesday January 3, 2024, surrounded by loved ones. She was born November 9, 1929, to Frank and Catherine Wilmes in Marion, Ohio. She married Raymond Zink of Omaha, Nebraska on October 3, 1953. Mary was a member of the Cathedral of the Risen Christ in Lincoln since 1954 and served the Lord in weekly perpetual adoration for 60 years.
Mary loved to travel, and her adventurous nature was never shy whether traveling internationally, snowmobiling in Canada, or bus touring across the US well into her 90s. She was always physically active bowling, skiing, hiking, golfing, or planning the next workout with her beloved exercise group. But above all things, Mary was deeply proud of her three children and five grandsons. Just ask her friends.
Mary was proceeded to heaven by her husband of 64 years, Ray Zink. Her tenacious spirit lives on in her children, Diana Horne of Lincoln, Mark and Susan (Lewis) Zink of Lincoln and grandsons, Connor and Justin and wife Hope (Brewer), and daughter Michele and Dave Harris of Austin and grandsons, AJ, Kyle, and Joshua. Along with sister-in-law Eleanor Krause and many beloved cousins, nieces, and nephews.
