Marjorie is preceded in death by her loving husband of 55 years Donald Adams; sister, Norma Vineyard; brother-in-laws, Albert Tritch and Harold Carrier.
More than anything, Marge was about her family and her love for her husband, Don. She reminded us often how much she adored him. For most of her life, she was a stay at-home mom. Her priority was to raise her kids and teach them to know the difference between right and wrong. In the early years, she worked as a nurses aid, did work at the Hastings Ammunition Depot during the war, and was also employed at Russell Stovers Candy in Lincoln, NE. While living in Fremont, NE she worked with many ladies organizations that did volunteer work for the community, and always worked at various voting locations. Marge and Don spent many weekends at their family's cabins at Johnson and Jeffrey Lake in NE. They frequented her in-laws winter home in Scottsdale, AZ, too. They had lasting memories including traveling to England with close friends, drinking a toast at the top of the Mountain in Vail, Colorado during one New Year's Eve, or could be seen around town in Fremont and Lincoln on Don’s big motorcycle. She was infamous for always wanting to give you food while with her, or as you walked out the door. She was a very private person but could flip a switch and be the life of the party. In addition, she always loved slipping you money on the way out the door, but certainly not telling Don. Her grandkids were certainly the sunshine of her life that she needed after Don passed away in 2009. If you visited with her on the phone or in-person, she could often be heard saying ”may the good Lord take a liking to ya.”
Private services will be held per Marjorie's request. Memorials to the family per Marjorie's request, they will go to her beloved grandchildren.
