Peg Beranek of Lincoln passed away July 12, 2016. Peg was born July 30, 1932 to Leo and Margaret Bartunek and graduated from UNL with a degree in Journalism. She and husband Emil enjoyed bridge and dance clubs, volunteering with The Arc of Lincoln, ushering at the Lied Center, renovating Peg’s family home at 11th and D Streets, and being involved at Eastridge Church. More recently, Peg enjoyed the company of Stu Maseman and being a member of First Plymouth Church. Peg’s life calling was “caregiver” and her children and grandchildren were the lucky beneficiaries. Peg is survived by her children Mark, Ed, Lynn Janese, Julie and Steve Enersen and by grandchildren Alex and Meredith Enersen. She was preceded in death by husband Emil, special friend Stu Maseman and brother Ed. A celebration of Peg’s life will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, July 30, 2016, First Plymouth Congregational Church, 2000 D St., Lincoln. Memorials to The Arc of Lincoln.
