Margaret Jean Wenzl, age 83, of Lincoln, Nebraska passed away on Wednesday, November 29, 2023. Jean was born on August 12, 1940 to Leo and Helen (Bjerrum) Buller and grew up on the family farm near Utica, Nebraska. Jean graduated from Seward High School in 1959. In February 1966, Jean was united in marriage to Walter (Tony) Wenzl and resided in their home in Havelock (Lincoln) until her death. She worked many jobs over the years but was primarily a homemaker and childcare provider. Jean enjoyed her large garden of tomatoes and cucumbers, jigsaw puzzles, word search puzzles, listening to polka and country music, and talking with her friends and family on the phone. Jean was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church.
Jean is preceded in death by her parents Leo and Helen Buller, husband Walt, brother Robert Buller, sisters Audrey Webster, Mildred Gottula, and Pauline Pelan.
Jean is survived by her daughter Kathryn and husband Jim Spidell, son Michael, son Patrick and wife Jessica, daughter Tina and husband Jason Velinsky, grandchildren Carolyn Wenzl, Grayden Velinsky, Joey Wenzl, and twins Makenna and Weston Velinsky. Brothers Clint (Lorraine) Buller of Utica, Raymond (Marcie) Buller of Utica; sister, Marilyn (Melvin) Varner of Seward. Many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Mass will be held Monday, December 11, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church, 6111 Morrill Ave, Lincoln, NE 68507. Memorials are in the care of the family for future designation. Per family's request, there will be no public viewing.
