Loren went into the family business of A-1 Refrigeration and became the long-time owner starting in 1983. In 1969 he married the love of his life, Mary Stephenson, in Lincoln. From this union, they had one daughter, Rachel. After many years of dedication and hard work, Loren retired from A-1 Refrigeration at the age of 80 in 2021. He will lovingly be remembered for his kindness - never expressing a bad word about anything or anyone. He treated his employees like family and maintained an inspiring positive attitude. Beyond his professional life, Loren loved racing go-carts and cars, taking cruises in the Caribbean, listening to Elvis Presley, and drinking Diet Coke. He had a remarkable collection of Coke memorabilia. Above everything, Loren earned a reputation of one of the finest mechanics. His ability to diagnose and repair anything was matched only by his genuine kindness and willingness to help others.
He is survived by his wife, Mary; brother, Alan (Pauline); sister, Alisanne (Mark) Ells; brother-in-law, Dick (Vicki) Stephenson; along with many nieces and nephews; honorary son, Rich (Ileana) Farley; honorary granddaughters, Janessa and Laci Farley. Preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Rachel; and grandson, Tanner.
