Leland Oberg

Leland A. Oberg (Lee) 93, of Lincoln, NE passed away on 10-28-2018. Born on 2-10-1925 to Arthur and Nellie Oberg in Benedict, NE. Leland served in the Army during WWII and was stationed in Italy. After the war he joined the Nebraska State Patrol, in 1946 working in the Air Wing Division and Director of the Training Center, he retired in 1980 as Captain. Leland also worked for the University of Nebraska, Chancellor Office and served on the Nebraska State Parole Board. Survived by wife, Phyllis (Holthus) of 65 years, sons: Greg (Kim), son, Steve, grandsons: Preston and Dallas, many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by daughter, LeAnn, parents, and 2 sisters. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 from 5 to 8 pm at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at 12:30pm also at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, 6800 South 14th Street. Lincoln, NE. lincolnfh.com
