Leif "Andy" Anderson

Leif (Andy) Anderson, age 83, of Lincoln, Nebraska passed away on Sunday May 24, 2020 while at home. Leif was born in Stavanger, Norway on January 25, 1937 to Alvin and Beatrice Anderson. He was there when German soldiers occupied the country. His family moved to America in 1947.

After graduating from Dekalb High School in Illinois he joined the Air Force. He married Joyce Love and together they had four children, Daniel, Lori, Craig and Brian. Andy continued to work for the Air National Guard until he retired in 1992.

He belonged to the Stage Union, where he worked assisting productions until he became the stage manager for Nebraska Wesleyan University.

He married Gwendolyn Reigert in 1992 and then began working as an enrolled agent for H&R Block. While Andy was employed with H&R Block he won an award for excellent performance.

After retiring from H&R Block and from Wesleyan, he enjoyed doing daily crossword puzzles, eating out, watching the Cubs, and gardening.

Andy is preceded in death by his first wife, Joyce Anderson; son, Daniel Anderson; brother, Ray Anderson; sister, Louise Garner. Andy is survived by his wife, Gwen Anderson; 3 children, Lori Langdale, Craig (Jennifer) Anderson, Brian Anderson; 2 brothers, Garner (Marijo) Anderson and Aarne (Karen) Anderson; 9 grandchildren, Christopher Langdale, Courtney Langdale, Michael Anderson, Rosemary Anderson, Jacob Anderson, Joshua Anderson, Allison Anderson, Ethan Anderson, Breck Anderson; 1 great-granddaughter, Charlie Rose Anderson; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Private family services will be held.
