Mr. Lee J Mahloch

Lee J. Mahloch, age 84, passed away on Wednesday June 8th, 2023. Lee was born on February 16th, 1939 in Dewitt, Nebraska to John and Augusta (nee Seitz) Mahloch. He is preceded in death by his wife Monika Mahloch (nee Hennis). He is survived by his son Kevin, daughter Heidi, and son-in-law John. Lee grew up in Dewitt and graduated Beatrice high school. Eventually moving to Lincoln, he married his first wife Linda with whom they had son Kevin and daughter Heidi. After a brief time in the Air National Guard, Lee took a job with Lutheran Brotherhood Life Insurance and then worked in insurance and finance all of his career. He was most recently part of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans and then eventually the Woodbury Financial Group.Having been 53 years sober, Lee was very active in Alcoholics Anonymous and always tried to help other members achieve their own recovery. He also enjoyed watching all Husker sports, playing golf, travel, and his cats Buddy, Greta, and Boots.

Funeral services for Lee are scheduled for Saturday, June 17, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. at Southwood Lutheran Church in Lincoln, NE.

Memorials are designated to Alcoholics Anonymous, Lincoln Central Office.
