Julius's female name sake  Julie Ried ( and John's pain in the neck too )

I am overly grateful for the Most: Loving, Awesome, Stubborn, and oh so Ornery family in the world.

the littlest & youngest JR, aka JR III.   Poor mom had all those J names in one small family, then John married Pam and her youngest son ( Jason ) has two beautiful young ladies who's names also begin with J, so Sarah really understands !

I'm sorry that we were not able to attend the funeral for your father. We had a busy weekend with a nephew's wedding that happened Saturday. Julius was always a great guy and always in a good mood. I don't ever remember him being angry as we grew up. Mom also asked me to give her condolences as well.

Uncle Julius always had a smile on his face, and always a chuckle.  Trish & I did have fun & good memories from staying with the family in Lincoln...including those darned ducks or geese or whatever they were! I know they chased us...John knows what I'm talking about!  Just one of a lot of great memories.  Uncle Julius be missed by everyone who was lucky enough to be a part of his life.  Love to John, Julie and Pam.

Uncle Julius was a kind and loving man as well as so much more. I'm grateful and honored to have been his niece. I enjoyed watching how happy he and my mom and dad were during their last time together last July, enjoying lunch and pie at one of Uncle Julius' favorite restaurants. As always, my love to John, Pam and Julie.

All our love and prayers to John, Julie and Pam.  I remember going to Lincoln to stay with Uncle Ju and Aunt Betty and had a lot of fun with them and climbing the big tree in the backyard, skating down the driveway and a lot of other great memories.

His parents lived just north of us in the country and Julius and Thelma went to Dist. 8 North of Palmyra.  Our families had known one another for many years as I fondly remember the grandparents Bolz and Ried.  My plans for an over-night visit with Thelma failed when she arrived and I was so sick.  I've always regretted that and shortly after that I went to Ohio to work.  Again, our sympathy Verne & Winifred (Lanning) Dowding  P.S We still live on the home place.

Julius was my boss in the late 80's when I worked in the mailroom at First Tier bank during college.  He was a warm & friendly gentlemen whom I respected and was appreciative for the opportunities he provided me.  When I applied for jobs outside the bank and he was asked to give a reference he told them "I wish I had 5 more folks like Dean".  my employer later told me that was a driving factor in why they hired me.

Uncle Julius was a spitting image of grandpa. Always kind and sweet. Even though it has been years since we had been together he still sent Christmas cards every year. Our thoughts and prayers are with John, Pam , Julie and family. Love, Brent, Vicki, & Bree Elscott
