Judith "Judy" M Green

Judy Marie Green, 80, Lincoln, died June 22, 2024, in Lincoln, Nebraska, at Waterford College View memory care facility. Judy was born February 3, 1944, in Elkhorn, Nebraska to Florence Fitzgibbon and John Kent. Later adopted by Daniel Fitzgibbon.

Judy was an exceptional person, who connected with people in ways that made everyone feel special. Her favorite and most impactful role was as a mother to her sons, Chuck and Mike. She enjoyed a 56-year nursing career, caring for and serving countless patients. In her spare time, she loved reading, gardening, baking, taking walks, singing, and spending time with family and friends. She also loved animals, especially her many dogs through the years.

Survivors include her sons, Chuck and Mike Green, both of Lincoln; sisters and brothers-in-law, Diane and Jesse Fleming, Cocoa, Fla.; Pat and Doug Merriman, and Wendy and David Rectar, all Lincoln; Cheryl and Mark Straub, Omaha; brother and sister-in-law, David and Carole Fitzgibbon, Council Bluffs, Iowa; brother-in-law, spouse, Tom and Fran Green, Lincoln; nieces, Kris Green and Amanda Straub (Brandt); nephews, Rick Green, Terry Green (Linda) and Stephen Straub (Jodi).

Preceded in death by her parents, Dan and Florence Fitzgibbon; husband, Charles W. Green; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Tom and Ruth Green.

Visitation 5 to 7 pm, on Wednesday, June 26, with the Funeral Service at 10:00 am on Thursday, June 27, 2024, both at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, 6800 S. 14th St.
