He graduated from Lincoln Northeast High School in 1992. Following graduation, he was employed by Apria for 20 years, Lincoln Public Schools in the bus barn for five years, ACS Medical, and Hy-Vee pharmacy for five years where he delivered prescriptions to patients.
Jason loved his boys and tried to make their birthdays special with a vacation each year. He was passionate about bowling and bowled all the time! He would attend tournaments every year and was able to travel to Nationals as well. Jason was a collector of Michael Jordan memorabilia, a New York Yankee and Nebraska Cornhusker fan, and of course, a Superman fan and collector. His favorite Superman was Christopher Reeve and went as far as to change his name on his caller ID to "Superman." He had 5uprman on his license plates and bowled in his league with the name "Superman."
He was a strong protector who was kind, funny, and a really fast driver. He would help anyone with anything. He loved animals and even had a koi pond. Jason will be remembered for his smile that could light up a room and his amazing sense of humor.
Jason is survived by his wife, Justina; children, Justin (Jordyn), Jacob (Emily); parents, Susan Laduke, Larry (Dora) Thompson; mother-in-law, Barbara Lear-Douglass; grandchildren, Aspyn and Lincoln; siblings, James (Dana) Thompson; sister-in-law, Jennifer Lear; nephews, Brennan, Oliver, and Trevor (Jessie) Thompson; along with nephews, Payton and Cody.
