Janet "Jan" Miller, of Lincoln, died peacefully on Sunday, July 31, 2022 at the age of 89. Janet was proud to have served as a Registered Nurse at the Veterans Hospital for more than 25 years. She also enjoyed maintaining and decorating her lovely home. As a passionate animal lover she supported Hearts United for Animals, Auburn, NE and The Cat House, Lincoln, NE, which are no-kill shelters and pet adoption agencies. The family requests that friends donate to these organizations in lieu of sending flowers. Janet is survived by her sister, Carolee Heileman; nephews, Alan and BJ Heileman; nieces, Cherie Swanson and Deanna Heileman; several great-nieces and nephews and many friends.
A visitation for Janet will be held Thursday, August 4, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, 6800 S 14th St., Lincoln, NE 68512. A celebration of life will occur Friday, August 5, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home.
