Married Carol Turek on September 16, 1961 in Crete, NE. Jim was a huge sports enthusiast who loved all sports and played town team basketball until nearly 50. His favorite teams were the Cleveland Browns and Oklahoma Sooners. At one time he and his twin brother Jerry had season tickets to Sooner football. He passed his passion for the Sooners to his daughters and grandchildren.
Jim worked at American Stores 18 years and 16 at Goodyear. At 62 he retired to Arizona where he and Carol resided for 18 years before returning to Papillon, NE.
He was proceeded in death by his parents and a granddaughter. Survived by his wife, Carol Joura, daughters Jamie Turner (Ed) and Jody Andreasen (Todd), five grandchildren, six great grandchildren, identical twin brother Jerald Joura and wife Nancy, and sister Kathleen Gregory and husband Dennis.
Visitation will be on April 15, 2023 from 1:00pm to 2:00 pm followed by a Funeral Service at 2pm, Lincoln, Memorial Funeral Home, 6800 South 14th street, Lincoln, Nebraska. lincolnfh.com
