She was the daughter of August and Alma (Koch) Bostelman and was born in Deshler, NE, on Aug. 3, 1937. She was baptized in 1937 and confirmed in 1951 at St. John's Lutheran Church near Byron, NE. She graduated from Deshler High School in 1954. After graduation she worked at the Deshler Drug Store, and worked in Lincoln at an insurance company. Later, she sold Avon for over 40 years.
She married Jack William Barry on Aug. 10, 1958. They lived in Florida, Texas, California, and Missouri. They had one son Danny.
Jean is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Jack Barry; son Danny and his wife Sherrel; sister Marilyn and her husband Roger Genzmer; grandson Kyle; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
A celebration of her life will be held at Lincoln Memorial in Lincoln, NE, on Wednesday, Jan. 10, at 2 p.m.
