Gary Buckmaster, 80, of Lincoln passed away March 1st at home. He was born August 1, 1935 in Caldwell, ID to Dale and Dorothy Buckmaster. They moved back to NE when Gary was 6 months old and lived in the O’Neil, NE area. Gary graduated high school in O’Neil in 1953. He went to Midland College for 1 ½ years after which he joined the army. He was stationed at the Fitzsimmions Army Hospital in Denver CO as an eye technician. After the service Gary moved back to NE and worked for Blake Distributor in Lincoln for 10 years. He then went to work for a livestock feed company and moved to Norfolk, NE where he lived until he retired in 1998. He and his wife then moved to Lake of the Ozarks in MO for 10 years. While in MO Gary worked part-time at Dogwood Golf Course as a ranger and in security at Old Kinderhook Golf Course. They moved to Lincoln in Oct. of 2007. Gary is survived by his wife of 37 years, Regie and children Brenda Bernhardt and grandchildren Nicki and Hannah, Greg Buckmaster and wife Nikki, Dottie and husband Jim Kitchen and grandchildren Dylan, Jacob, Mariah, step children Glenn and wife Lynne Studebaker and grandchildren Stephanie Smith and Parker Studebaker, Kathi Norris and grandchildren Kelli McIntosh and Tara Norris, John and wife Jennifer Studebaker and grandchildren Jacie and Jack, Patrick Studebaker, sister Virginia Chaney, nephews Rick, Brian, niece Terry Sue Elder. Preceded in death by father, Dale and mother Dorothy and step son Ted Studebaker. A celebration of life will be held March 7th at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mark’s Methodist Church chapel.
