Gailya J. Mason

Gailya (Gay) J. Mason, age 89, of Lincoln, Nebraska passed away on Wednesday, November 13, 2024. Gay was born on May 31, 1935 in Barada, NE to Clark and Millicent (Shubert) Percival. Raised in the area, going to Barada School through 8th grade and then graduating from Falls City High School, Class of 1953. She attended Peru State College and received her associates degree. She married Willard (Bill) Mason on June 12, 1955 in Falls City, NE. To this union three children were born, Kim, Tim and Jennifer. She was a homemaker and later a clerk at Family Drug in Lincoln. Gay was an excellent cook and avid reader. Gay is survived by her children; Kim Creech, Tim (Linda) Mason, grandchildren; Stefanie Creech, Bradley Mason, Eric (Noemi) Mason and Marc (Sadie) Mason and two great-grandsons; Brady Creech and Tommy Mason. Gay was preceded in death by her parents; Clark and Millie, her husband Bill, and her daughter Jennifer. Memorials in Gay's honor are designated to the Capital Humane Society in Lincoln, NE. A Celebration of Life will take place on Monday, November 25, 2024 at 10:00 AM with visitation one hour prior at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, 6800 S 14th St., Lincoln, NE 68512.
