Dorothy E. Burkett age 88 of Clatonia, passed away on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 in Firth. She was born on July 17, 1928 in Alliance, Nebraska to James and Oda (Byrd) Collins. Dorothy is survived by her sons, James (Lorraine) of Scottsdale, Arizona; Joseph of Nelchina, Alaska; Robert (Janet) of Lincoln; Ronald of Lincoln; John of Clatonia; 5 granddaughters; 2 great-granddaughters; brothers, Martin (Lois) Collins of Alliance; Richard (Rosie) Collins of Alliance; David (Jacoba) Collins of Lake Mary, Florida; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Burkett, Jr.; son, Timothy; sister, Doris; brothers, Edward, Bernard, Donald, Tommy, Francis and Jerry. Visitation will be held on Monday, December 26, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church in Cortland. Interment will be in Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery.
