Donald K. Tipton age 79 of Lincoln passed away on August 13, 2017 in Lincoln after battling cancer. He was born on May 23, 1938 in Lincoln to Charles and Mary (Messenger) Tipton. He married Helen Rollogas on July 14, 1956. Don served in the US Army from 1957 until he retired in 1977. Don is survived by his son, Donald P. (Sheryl) Tipton of Douglas, Wyoming; daughters, Christine (Brian) Bitenieks; Heather Tipton both of Lincoln; grandchildren, April, Nicole, Emma, Hannah, Donovan and Chloe; 7 great-grandchildren; sister, Lois (Ken) Lempka of Lincoln; brother, Marvin Tipton of Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Alice and 8 siblings. Cremation/no visitation. Memorial Service: Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home. Interment: Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the People’s City Mission.
