Dick "Butch" Martin Bade

Dick “Butch” Bade, 61, of Lincoln Nebraska passed away on December 5, 2020 while surrounded by his wife and daughters. Butch was born on August 20, 1959 to Lela and Donald Bade. He started his business, American Drywall, in 1992 and worked until the day he passed. Many people would describe Butch as a loving, caring, and genuine man with a heart of gold. He would drop what he was doing in a second to help anyone in need. Anyone who knew Butch knew that he loved to prank others and would do anything to make you laugh. Even if the prank wasn’t that great you would end up laughing because Butch had the most contagious and infectious laugh. Butch was a bright light in a dark situation; he always knew what to say to make a person feel better and everyone would agree he gave the best advice.

In his free time, you could find Butch out at the racetrack, shooting pool, driving the pontoon at the lake, or raising horses for competition. Butch didn’t care what walk of life you came from. He would sit and have a conversation with you and help you in any way possible. Aside from being survived by his wife, Michelle Bade; his children Alex and Danny Schlobohm; Shayle and Chris Helget; Mariah and Kyle Flodman, and Chantel Bade. Butch also leaves behind his mother, Lela Bade; his sisters, Judy and Dennis Vance; Debbie and Chuck Leitner; Karen and Randy Case; Linda and Chuck Spanel; Donna and Tad McDowell; and Laurie and Jeff Schuster; his brother, Jim Bade and his grand-children, Taten and Talli Schlobohm. He is proceeded in death by his father Donald Bade and his mother-in-law Corinne Fiel.

Butch valued his family and always made time for them. Every year, Butch has a family reunion in Stockton Missouri and made sure to stress the importance of family to others. He was the most loving father, husband, grandfather, brother, and friend. He has impacted so many people’s lives and will be missed dearly.

Visitation and the burial service will be held at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, 6800 S 14th St, Lincoln NE. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 8th from 5-8pm. The burial is December 9th and is open to anyone who would like to attend, please arrive to gate number 2 at 2:45pm.
