Delzell Lu (Bailey) Javorsky went home to be with the Lord on August 22, 2022 at the age of 98. She was born in Schuyler, Nebraska on February 23, 1924. Del graduated from Schuyler High School. She moved to Lincoln in 1944 and worked at Miller & Paine, Bryan Hospital, Bankers Life Insurance and Cushman’s from 1944-1946 making bomb fuses.
Del made 106 crochet afghan blankets for Project Linus and many more for family and friends. Del also enjoyed crocheting, dancing, bowling and traveling. Del married Elmer Javorsky on August 18, 1946 and was married for 42 years until his death in June of 1988. They had 4 children: Tim (Pat Brigham) of Utica, Nebraska; Nancy (Stephen Ahl) of Lincoln, Nebraska; Steven (Carmen Cuddy) of Lincoln, Nebraska and Ron (Gail Ford) of Lincoln, Nebraska. They had 10 grandchildren: Stephen (Chiara), Jeffre (Abby), Matthew (Shannon Winkler), Stefanie, Ben (Megan), Adam, Aaron (Jessica), Kelly (Nick Castillo), Natasha (Kevin Ourada) and John (Nichole) ; 17 great grandchildren.
Del was preceded in death by husband Elmer Javorsky; granddaughter Stefanie; parents; brother Bob; and Jay Bailey. She is survived by sister Rita Krca of Papillion; Euncie Woods of Schuyler; Donna Nantkes of Lincoln, and many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be on Monday, August 29, 2022 from 9 am to 10 am with a funeral service to follow at 10 am at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, 6800 South 14th Street, Lincoln, Nebraska.
