David F. Michel, 94, of Lincoln passed away 02-21-2015. Born 12-30-1920 to Earl and Rachel (Roehl) Michel in Dubuque, Iowa. Married Mary Evelyn Winter on November 26, 1942 in Dubuque, IA. Former owner of Dave’s Snack Bar on UNL’s campus from 1965-1975. Medaled Veteran serving in the 8th Army Air Force in Europe during WWII Dave will be remembered for his ornery personality, quick-witted jokes and the family and traditions built with love and compassion in the family home on South 13th Street. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, February 25 at 10:30 AM at Blessed Sacrament (1704 Lake Street). Visitation will be Tuesday from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM with a Rosary at 7:00 PM at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home. Interment at Lincoln Memorial Park. Memorials to Blessed Sacrament Church and St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lincoln, Nebraska.
